Trogoderma sp. 3
The brown hairy larvae of this species are more similar to Anthrenus than to Trogoderma . Trogoderma sp. 3 adults are entirely black with posteriorly narrowed elytra. The species was abundant in one nest of A. annumbi from Campo de Mayo (Table 2). Emergence data from reared adults from nest 8 (Table 2) was 10-X-05 (116), 12-X-05 (120), 13-X-05 (78), 14/ 15-X-05 (131), 17-X-05 (14), 20-X-05 (50), 23-X-05 (18), 25/ 26-X-05 (28), 30-X-05 (10), 1/ 16-XI-05 (20), 17/ 30-XI-05 (47) [spring]. The species was also present in nests from Entre RĂos and Santa Fe (Table 2); in the last locality it was also abundant in nests of other birds.
