(2) Fabaeformiscandona elegans (Bronstein, 1928) comb. nov.

Upon describing this species as Candona elegans, Bronstein (1928) stressed its close relationship with Candona acuminata (Fischer, 1854), now Fabaeformiscandona acuminata (Fischer, 1854) . Later, Bronstein (1947) stated that C. elegans could well prove a separate variety of the latter species. Relying on Bronstein’s (1928, 1947) descriptions, we confirm that C. elegans belongs to the genus Fabaeformiscandona Krstić, 1972 and we consequently propose its formal assignment to that genus. Fabaeformiscandona elegans comb. nov. is thus far only known from Bronstein’s (1928, 1947) records from the Russian Caucasus.
