Caryanda viridis -species group

Diagnosis. The viridis -species group shares the following diagnostic characters: in male, furculae on posterior margin of the 10th abdominal tergite very small, vestigial, sometimes absent; supra-anal plate scutated; cerci falciform, laterally compressed, basally broad, sub-apically decurved, apex rounded, and inner side usually blunttoothed; epiphallus with (outer) lophi nearly semicircular, falciform or oblong; female with a large interspace between ventral basivalvular sclerite; inner margin of ventral ovipositor valves distinctly curved.

The species group is endemic to Yunnan with four species so far.
