Distribution (Fig. 4). A Moroccan endemic that occurs in the Rif, Middle Atlas, and the High Atlas mountains.

Ecology. Larvae are predators and strongly orophilic mainly occurring in the highest areas of the Moroccan mountain ranges, up to 2100 m in the Rif (Aubert 1961, Sánchez-Ortega & Azzouz 1998, Errochdi & Alami 2008, Errochdi et al. 2014), 2150 m in the Middle Atlas (Giudicelli & Dakki 1984) and 3300 m in the High Atlas (Aubert 1956). The flight period is in late spring (V–VI) and extends until July in the higher areas of the High Atlas (Aubert 1956).
