Nothybus sumatranus Enderlein, 1922

Nothybus sumatranus Enderlein, 1922: 176; Aczél, 1955: 10; Steyskal, 1977: 31; Papp et al., 2006: 176; Lonsdale & Marshall, 2016: 28. Syntype (1♀): Indonesia, Sumatra, ZMHU.

Diagnosis. Frons (Figs 79–81) with two velvety black anterior patches. Mesonotum (Fig. 82) with irregularly 8 rows of presutural acrostichal setulae in mid-longitudinal stripe. Wing (Fig. 83) with three clear iridescent spots with second spot in cell r 4+5 displaced apically, crossvein r-m with narrow medial brown spot; subapical spot on CuA 1 absent. Fore basitarsomere (Fig. 84) white with base dark brown. Abdominal tergite 1 and anterolateral corner of tergite 2 widely yellowish orange, tergite 3 laterally with orange regions (Figs 85, 86).

Material examined. CHINA: 1♀, Yunnan, Mengla, Manzhuang (N22.129471°, E101.31371°), 18 Mar. 2018, leg. G. Wang (CAU) .

Distribution. CHINA (Yunnan) [new record], MALAYSIA, INDONESIA, THAILAND, VIETNAM.

Remarks. The Chinese specimens from our study differ from the redescriptions of Lonsdale & Marshall (2016) as follows: scutum (Fig. 82) with medial stripe not reaching anterior margin, narrowed subapically and slightly fused to posterolateral stripe. Abdominal tergite 2 dark brown with anterior and lateral margins widely yellowish orange, tergite 3 laterally with orange regions, tergite 4 almost yellow except posterior margin dark brown, tergite 6 entirely light yellow (Figs 78, 85, 86).
