Diagnosis. Bothriomiris testaceus is distinct among other species of Bothriomiris by the smaller body (<5.50 mm), the reddish dorsum, and the rather narrow and weakly convex, rugose pronotal calli (Fig. 48).

Redescription. Female. COLORATION. Dorsum reddish. Head. Reddish; antenna and labium reddish. Thorax. Scutellum. Reddish, medially somewhat paler than remainder of scutellum. Hemelytron. Corium with indistinct, orange tinge apically, contiguous with cuneus; membrane dark gray, paler apically. Thoracic pleura. Reddish. Legs. Coxae reddish; remaining parts broken. STRUCTURE AND VESTITURE (Fig. 48). Body suboval; dorsum covered with dense, pale and dark, erect setae Head. Covered with dense, long, setae; antenna thin; segment I nearly cylindrical, weakly narrowed basally, covered with sparse setae; segment II thickened towards apex, covered with setae somewhat denser than vestiture of segment I; segments III and IV thin, covered with long, erect setae. Thorax. Pronotum. Calli moderately raised, narrow, rugose. Hemelytron. Corium inpunctate apically; membrane with major cell triangular. Thoracic pleura. Densely and deeply punctate; peritreme flattened and covered with microtrichae.

Measurements. Holotype Ƥ: body length 5.12, width 2.48. Head. Length 0.50, width 1.40, diameter of eye in dorsal view 0.30. Antenna. Length of segment I 0.72, II 1.36, III 0.60, IV 1.0. Labium. Obscured by glue and immeasurable. Pronotum. Length 1.20, width of anterior margin 1.16, length of lateral margin 0.80, width posterior margin 2.0.
