Perrotia ismael Oberthür, 1916

This species, formerly placed in Miraja, is now placed in Perrotia (Lees et al. 2003) . It is another rare species in collections, known only from a handful of specimens (Evans 1937, Viette 1956). S.C. Collins (pers. comm. 2014) reared a specimen from a ‘largish bamboo’ 10km east of Anjozorobe (north-east of Antananarivo), 8–10 Apr 2003. Unfortunately documentation is not available, but the preserved emerged pupa is 18mm long; brown, darker on head and thorax; flattened frontally; shelter lined with white waxy powder. The final instar head capsule is oval, brown, darker on posterior margin and epicranial suture, but details are not clear due to white waxy powder.
