General distribution. Europe: Greece (Crete, Cyclades); West Asia: Cyprus, Palestine, southwestern Turkey (Zapparoli 1991; Negrea 1997; Stoev 1997).
Chorotype. East Mediterranean.
Habitats. Maquis with Pinus, Acacia and Cupressus, habitats with Cistus, meadows with Olea, Quercus and Ceratonia, mixed forests with Pinus, Quercus and Acer, sand dunes.
Altitudinal range: 0–1700 m.
