General distribution. West Asia: Cyprus, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, southern Turkey (Attems 1926, 1951; Zapparoli 1991, 1994, 1999).
Chorotype. East Mediterranean.
Habitats. Maquis formations with Pinus, Acacia and Cupressus, patches with Eucalyptus, cultivations with vineyard, phryganic habitats, grasslands and dunes, meadows with Olea, Quercus and Ceratonia, mixed forests with Pinus and Quercus, open fields with Ceratonia .
Altitudinal range: 0–1920 m.
