DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type locality.

COMMENT: See Lotze and Anderson, 1979, Mamm. Species, 119:1-8, who stated that gloveralleni, maynardi, and minor, may be conspecific with lotor . May be extinct; see Hall, 1981:973.
