COMMENT: Referred to the genus Suillotaxus by Lawrence, 1939, in Barbour et al., Mustelidae in Mammal Collections from the Philippine Islands, 86(2):63-65. Considered a subgenus of Mydaus by Long, 1978, Rep. Fauna Flora Wise., 14:1- 6.
