Redescription of Thaumastocephalus

The type genus of Thaumastocephalini has not been adequately described to allow for a discussion of its placement in a supetribe. In order to fill this gap, we provide an illustrated redescription based primarily on a male of an undescribed species from the Croatian Dinarides, with variation from the other described species incorporated.
