30. Purana sp.

Material examined. 2 females, E. Luzon, Aurora, Sierra Madre, 15 km W. of Dibulo, 650 m, 16°33.176’N 122°13.386’E, 26–27 IX 2008, J.H. Lourens (IRSNB).

Distribution. Philippines (Luzon).

Remarks. This species is believed to be a new species and thus newly recorded from Luzon but could not be described due to unavailable male specimens. With the wing venation and the pigmentation on the pro- and mesonotum and the abdomen similar to those of Purana abdominalis Lee, 2009 and Purana nana Lee, 2009, this species probably belongs to the Purana abdominalis species group, which has been reported only from the Philippines (Lee 2009b). The female specimens of this species is distinguished from the females of P. abdominalis from Negros and P. nana from Mindanao by the reduced infuscation at bases of apical cells 2 and 3 and the broad smoky membrane suffusion on apical cells of the forewing.
