Thunberg (1915) did not specify that type material was in St Petersburg, although the journal Mémoires de l’Académie impériale des sciences de SaintPétersbourg implies a possible link. However, none of his type material was found. Brock (2002) stated that all of Thunberg’s type material is lost, except for three species in UUZM.
