Locality on all labels: Amérique centrale.

Remarks: According to Rosalie de Lamarck, her father’s collection contained four specimens.

Current taxonomic position: Fasciolaria tulipa (Linnaeus, 1758); type species of Fasciolaria Lamarck, 1799 [ Fasciolariidae]. Locality is southeastern USA and the northern Caribbean.
