Type locality: dans la baie de Campêche .

Material in MHNG, Lamarck collection: 1 syntype MHNG INVE 51697 (ex MHNG 1097/99) (figured herein, Fig. 3A), 102.5 x 46 mm; locality on the label: Amérique centrale. 2 specimens MHNG INVE 51695 (ex MHNG 1097/97) (figured herein, Fig. 3B – C); 1097/97/1: 64.2 x 28.4 mm (? Kiener, pl. 3); 1097/97/2: 58 x 29 mm. Locality on the label: Amérique centrale.

Current taxonomic position: Fasciolaria lilium Fischer von Waldheim, 1807; placed in synonymy with Fasciolaria lilium by Campbell et al. (1995): 112. Locality is Cancun, Mexico to eastern Texas.
