Kiener, pl. 7); 1098/1/2: 62.7 x 34.5 mm; 1098/1/3: 42.0 x 21.0 mm. Locality on the label:? Australie ou Amérique Centrale .

Current taxonomic position: Pleuroploca aurantiaca (Lamarck, 1816); placed in Pleuroploca by Kaicher (1978): card no. 1764. Locality is northern South America and southern Caribbean.
