COMMENT: Type species of subgenus Rhinopithecus; see Groves, 1970:569; Szalay and Delson, 1979:404. Includes bieti; see Napier and Napier, 1967:353. Probably includes brelichi (SW) .

PROTECTED STATUS: CITES - Appendix II as Order Primates .
