Hebrus pusillus pombasi Poisson, 1959 in Lindberg (1959: 125) . Holotype: ♂, Cape Verde Islands: Santo Antão: Pombas (MZHF).

Distribution (Fig. 71). Macaronesia: Cape Verde Islands: Brava, Santo Antão (Lindberg 1959, Báez et al. 2005). Afrotropical Region: Ivory Coast (Poisson 1968).

Comments. The species has not been recorded since its description, except a single record from the Ivory Coast by Poisson (1968). However, the latter record requires confirmation. The subspecific status of this taxon and its relationship with H. pusillus pusillus requires re-examination.

In the MZHF are 9 specimens from the type locality: ‘holotype nr. 11635, 3 spec. on the same pin, no locality label, determination handwritten label by Poisson, no year; allotype nr. 11636, 1 spec., Santo Antão: Pombas, 23.– 25.12.1953, Lindberg, + Poisson determination label in 1956; paratype nr. 11637, 2 spec. on the same pin, Santo Antão: Pombas, 23.– 25.12.1953, Lindberg, + Poisson determination label in 1956; paratype (red label no number), 3 spec. on two pins, Santo Antão: Pombas, 23.– 25.12.1953, Lindberg, + Poisson determination label in 1956.’ (L.
