Remarks. We found two specimens of Munida forceps from São Paulo deposited in the MZUSP collection (1 spec., MZUSP 13217, N.Oc. “Prof. W. Besnard”, st. 6693, 26°41ʹS / 046°27ʹW, 430 m, 19.i.1998; 1 ♂, MZUSP 16244, Ilha da Queimada Grande, 50–80 m, no coord., coll. C. Cunha, x.2003) that were used to obtain sequences. This species is found between 44 and 426 m depth but there are records at 630 m and 950 m (Lalana et al. 2004; Melo-Filho 2006, 2008). The record in Uruguay is dubious (Spivak et al. 2019). Sequences accession numbers (GenBank): MZUSP 16244—16S (MT320100), COI (MT479221).
