DISTRIBUTION: Paraguay and S Brazil.

SYNONYMS: grisea Desmarest, 1827.

COMMENTS: Based on Azara's (1801:290) "Micouré à queue longue;" therefore, the type locality is Tapua. Previously called T. griseus.
