Leptalpheus sp. 3
Material examined. 1 immature female (cl 2.7 mm), MNHN-IU-2011-5247, Panama, Caribbean coast, Bocas del Toro, Isla Carenero, sand flat with seagrass, yabby pump, 0.5–1 m, leg. A. Anker, J.A. Vera Caripe, J.A. Baeza, 14.11.2006 [fcn 06-568].
Remarks. This specimen has both the major and the minor chelipeds; however, both are apparently not fully developed, with juvenile characters especially obvious on the minor cheliped. The frontal margin is produced anteriorly forming a short rostral projection, whilst each eyestalk has a small anteromesial projection. The major chela fingers are armed with a few irregular teeth.
