Ankylopteryx doleschalii Brauer, 1864: 901 . Type locality: Indonesia (Amboina). Lectotype in NHMW.

Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the scape with brownish-red stripe on outer side, the clypeal margin with brown stripes, the gena marked with black spots, the thorax without markings, the pro- and mesotibia with median black spot, the forewing with brown shadings, especially on radial crossveins, psm-psc crossveins, CuP and gradate series, the narrow and ovoid cell im, the closed cell dcc, and the hindwing with brown shadings on the gradate crossvein series.

Distribution. China (Hainan); Japan (Okinawa); Indonesia (Amboina, Sulawesi); Philippines (Luzon, Palawan).

Remarks. Banks (1939) recorded this species from Dwa Bi and Ta Han, Hainan, China. Ma et al. (2020) provided habitus and detailed photos of this species.
