Centris fusciventris Mocsáry, 1899: 252 [New lectotype designation]. Junior subjective synonymy

Centris fusciventris lectotype (♀): Mocsáry based his description on three female specimens of which we have examined two. A single female from Piauí, Brazil, is here designated as the lectotype and is labeled “Piauchy / Brasilia [printed]”, “848 / 90”, “45.”, “ C. ♀ / fusciventris / det. Friese 1898 / Mocs.”. According to the accession book at HNHM the specimen was purchased from E. Menkl in 1889. The lectotype of C. fusciventris corresponds to the previously established senior synonym, C. quadrimaculata (synonymy proposed in Moure et al. 2007).
