Geographic & bathymetric distribution. Western Atlantic: from USA (Virginia) and Gulf of Mexico to Brazil (Rio de Janeiro); Eastern Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Ocean; 50–850 m depth (Poupin 2018; Cardoso et al. 2020).

Remarks. Records for Venezuela: La Guaira state, La Tortuga Island, La Blanquilla Island and Los Testigos Archipelago, 120 to 406 m depth (Blanco Rambla et al. 1994).
