Material examined. 1 female, 1 male; 20 miles off N La Tortuga Island, 11°13’48”N 65°13’12”W, Fridtjof Nansen R / V st 796, 501 – 562 m depth, 7.ix.1988, (MMM-Crus-0323) .
Geographic & bathymetric distribution. From USA (Florida); Bahamas, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea to Venezuela; 412 – 750 m depth (Felder et al. 2009; Poupin & Corbari 2016).
Remarks. Records for Venezuela: off east Peninsula de Paraguaná, off east Chichiriviche, Falcón; off northeast Testigos Island (Chace & Holthuis 1978).
