Western Atlantic Ocean: Off Baja California; Gulf of Mexico; Bahamas; Caribbean Sea; Bermuda, Venezuela, Brazil (Seamounts Ceará Chain, Atol das Rocas, and Fernando de Noronha Archipelago); south-east Atlantic Ocean; south-west Indian Ocean; north-west Pacific Ocean; 122–3600 m (Poupin 2018; Cardoso et al. 2020).
