Remarks: Pseudotolithus senegalensis, formerly known as Otolithus senegalensis (Valenciennes), Sciaena senegalensis (Valenciennes), Sciaena dux (Bowdich), Pseudotolithus macrognathus (Bleeker) and Otolithus macrognathus (Bleeker) was a common catch in Badagry and Epe. This species is distributed across marine and brackish waters along the west coast of Africa, from Mauritania to southern Angola. Pseudotolithus senegalensis is a large, elongated, and moderately compressed fish with a prominent eye. Its body color ranges from silvery grey to yellowish, with a reddish hue along the back. The body is marked by dotted, oblique wavy stripes that follow the scale rows and gradually fade toward the ventral side
