Comments. The holotype of Coniceromyia kerteszii was destroyed in the fire in the Hungarian Natural History Museum in 1956, together with 200,000 other Diptera specimens, including more than 3,000 types (Boros 1957). The original description of C. kerteszii is not detailed enough to allow the recognition of additional material of this species.
