Diagnosis (male). Vein M2 interrupted midway of its extension; oval patch of dense microtrichia posterior to M2; CuA1 concave along its entire extension.

Geographical distribution. Colombia and Ecuador.

Comments. The hypopygium of Coniceromyia valdesi (Figs. 135–138) is nearly identical to that of C. piricornis, so it is not described here.
