Remarks
These robust specimens also represent a species that is unknown to science. They were found sympatric with some of the new species described above at Lucia River. This unnamed species can clearly be distinguished from all known Grouvellinus of Borneo by the moderately large size (CL: 2.1 mm; EW: 1.0 mm), broad elytra with distinctly elevated and carinate intervals 3 – 8, and the comparably short and broad legs. We refrain from a formal description because of the same reasons mentioned in the former taxon. The mtDNA barcode provided in here (LR738844) varies by 12.5 – 17.7% from all known Grouvellinus species of Borneo.
