FEMALE (Specimens measured – Ghana: 2).

Dorsum ­ Dorsal shield with few lateral striae anterior to Z1, 334(323­346) long, 219(216­222) wide, j1 30(29­30), j3 35, j4 17(16­18), j5 16(14­18), j6 32, J2 34, J5 5, z2 32, z4 40, z5 17(16­18), Z1 29, Z4 36(34­38), Z5 57(51­62), s4 58(56­59), S2 37(35­38), S4 27(26­29), S5 31(29­34), r3 20(19­21), R1 15(14­16). Dorsal setae smooth, except Z5 which are serrate.

Peritreme ­ Reaching level between z2 and z4.

Venter ­ All ventral shields smooth. Distances between ST1­ST3 58, ST2­ST2 66(64­ 67) and ST5­ST5 70. With 1 pair of metapodal shields. Ventrianal shield 97(96­98) long, 55(53­58) wide at ZV2 level and 66(66­67) wide at anus level.

Spermatheca ­ Calyx tubular, 32 long; atrium small.

Legs ­ Macrosetae sharp­tipped: SgeII 24, SgeIII 29, StiIII 26(24­29), SgeIV 48(46­ 50), StiIV 37(34­40), StIV 69(67­70).

REMARKS: The measurements of the specimens collected are close to those for specimens from Cape Verde, and generally shorter than those of a paratype from Algeria (Ueckermann 1992).
