Type locality. “ China, Taiwan, Naka-Onsen ” .

Type material. Holotype ♂, deposited in EUMJ.

Material studied. CHINA: Taiwan: 3 ♂, “ Taiwan: Kaohsiung Weijin Bridge 22-VIII-1995 leg. L.J.Wang / Platynectes babai Satô, 1982 det. L.J.Wang 1995” (JSCL) .

Notes. Habitus and male genitalia are given in Figs 2A and 6A–B.

Collection details. The specimens were collected in stagnant (usually shallow) water pools in the forests at altitude from 750 to 2000 meters, sometimes were collected at light traps (Liu 2020).

Distribution. Only known from Taiwan, China (Fig. 10A).
