Distribution. North and South Island (Hopkins 1969, Imamura 1979, Cook 1983).

Remarks. Imamura (1979) described P. morimotoi based on one male collected in a cave. Already Cook (1983) pointed on the similarity with P. minutus . The fourth leg of the two species are similar in shape. According to Imamura (1979) P. morimotoi should have a more slender palp, but the differences (if any) are too small to warrant a separate taxon.
