Material examined. TURKEY: Samsun: 4 exs., Kavak, Haçılaz Geç. [ca. 41°06'N, 36°03'E], 27.V.1989, leg. Schönmann & Schillhammer (NHMW); 2 exs., NE Havza, Karadaġ Geç. [41°01'N, 35°52'E], 27.V.1989, leg. Schönmann & Schillhammer (NHMW).

Comment. Previously, only two males of this species had become known. Xantholinus grandespinosus was originally described from Amasya and later also recorded from Ordu (Assing 2006a, in press). The currently known distribution of the species is mapped in Fig. 22.
