Type Locality: Australia, Queensland, Mungana Trucking Yards, 16 km west of Chillagoe, 17°06’S, 144°23’E.

Vernacular Names: Mareeba Rock-wallaby.

Distribution: Mareeba north to Mitchell River and near Mt. Carbine, west to Mungana and south to Burdekin River, N Queensland (Australia).

Conservation: Localized.

Discussion: P. lateralis / penicillata species-group.
