Type Locality: Papua New Guinea, Morobe Prov., Rawlinson Mtns.
Vernacular Names: Huon Tree-kangaroo.
Synonyms: Dendrolagus deltae Troughton and Le Souef 1936; Dendrolagus flavidior Matschie 1912; Dendrolagus xanthotis Rothschild and Dollman 1936 .
Distribution: Extreme NE interior New Guinea (Huon Peninsula), 1000 to 3300 m; Umboi Isl and Mt. Agulupella in W New Britain (introduced).
Conservation: IUCN – Endangered. Uncommon.
