Updated checklist of Stactobiinae species from Brazil
Previously, only 12 species of Stactobiinae were known in Brazil (Santos 2023). Of these, four species are endemic to four Brazilian biomes: Amazon rainforest ( F. carajas, F. manauara Santos & Nessimian 2009, and F. serrana), one is endemic to the Caatinga ( F. harrisi Souza, Santos, & Takiya 2016), and two are endemic to the Cerrado ( F. pallida Souza, Santos, & Takiya 2016 and O. angelus). Now that number has increased to 15 species, including O. costae sp. nov. a species endemic to the Amazon rainforest, F. quiteriae sp. nov. endemic to the Caatinga, and F. angrisanoae sp. nov. endemic to the Cerrado (Table 1).
New records for Brazil provided by our study are indicated in bold in the table of species distributions (Table 1).
