Microthespis dmitriewi Werner, 1908

Distribution: Ethiopia, Iran, Jordan, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

Material examined: (1) specimen: Jabal Al Naser (Amman) 1.X.96 (1M). Remarks: Microthespis dmitriewi appears to be rare. Despite the extensive collecting for 2 years no additional specimens were found. Future research is needed to study the status of this species. Only one other species in this genus, M. evansi Uvarov (1931), was described from Pakistan.
