Material examined: two specimens from the South Kuril Strait (25 m) .

Distribution: Korea; Japan; Sea of Japan; Sea of Okhotsk; South Kuril Strait; Gulf of Alaska; Queen Charlotte Islands, British Columbia to Cape Flattery, Washington (5–305 m) (Scarlato 1981; Coan, Valentich-Scott & Bernard 2000; Okutani 2000; Kantor & Sysoev 2005; Lutaenko & Noseworthy 2012; Haga 2017).

Remarks: This is a new record from the region of the Kuril Islands.
