Type Locality: Saharanpur (29.9680°N, 77.5552°E), Uttar Pradesh State, India (Gates 1958b)

Distribution in Nepal: Madhesh Province, Rautahat District; Badharwa Soti Mai River at altitude of 250 m asl (Nesemann et al. 2007).

Distribution elsewhere: India (Rajkhowa et al. 2015; Gosh et al. 2022).

Habitat: Semi-aquatic, sand, and mud (Nesemann et al. 2007); agricultural land (Rajkhowa et al. 2015).

Ecology: Endogeic (Chanabun et al. 2013).

Remarks: Distribution in Nepal has been published in book that have no further continued editions published. A detailed study is essential to confirm its taxonomic position.
