Type locality: Chidlong (Chitlong Gates,1938); Chitlang (27.6421°N, 85.1790°E) Makwanpur District, Bagmati Province, Nepal .

Type specimen: ZIC; ZEV 2880 /7, ZMUH 7173

Distribution in Nepal: Bagmati Province, Makwanpur District, Chitlang Gadi (Michaelsen 1907: 1908).

Distribution elsewhere: India, Pakistan (Thakur et al. 2020, Ghafoor & Qureshi 1999).

Habitat: National Park forests and hills (Thakur et al. 2020).

Ecology: Anecic (Sinha et al. 2003).

Remarks: Original authors explained Chidlong and Chitlong type locality, which is now called Chitlang that is situated in Makwanpur District of Central Nepal. The species epithet ‘ nepalensis ’ is named on its type locality Nepal. It is endemic to Nepal.
