Distribution in Nepal: Bagmati Province, Kathmandu District, Nepal Valley (Now it is known as Kathmandu Valley), East Himalaya (1370–1980 m asl) (Thapa 2019), Machhegaun, Chandragiri and Tokha (Singh 2022).

Distribution elsewhere: Australia, Bermuda, Europe, East or Southeast Asia; India, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Turkey (Gates 1937; Sims & Gerard 1999; Monroy et al. 2003; Reynolds & Fragoso 2004; Blakemore 2007; Reynolds & Reynolds 2010; Sun et al. 2015; Subedi et al. 2018b; Reynolds & Mısırlıoğlu 2018).

Habitat: Abandoned land, crop fields, forest, grasslands, garden, gravel, sandy lawn, oak plantation (Sharma & Bhardwaj 2014; Singh 2022).

Remarks: It is an exotic species (Ahmed et al. 2020).
