Type Locality: Arunachal Pradesh, India
Distribution in Nepal: Koshi Province, Taplejung District, Mewa Khola, Sanghu at 1600–2000m asl (Sims 1963).
Distribution elsewhere: India (Kharkongo 2018).
Habitat: Household, animal waste material (Mubeen & Hatti 2022).
Ecology: Epigeic or epi-anecic (Kharkongo 2018).
Remarks: This species is endemic to northeast India. The specimen was collected by K.H. Hyatt and W.G. Inglis from Nepal in1961 (Sims 1963).
