Holotype: UPNG 8469, Maningamoro, Aimba River, N side Sudest Island, 15m, 11 o 29'S 153 o 29'E, Milne Bay Province, PNG (J. Hiaso, 24.vi.1992).

Paratypes: UPNG 8460-8468, 8470, data as for holotype.

Remarks: Entire type series of eleven specimens in UPNG. UPNG 8470 is listed as a cleared-and-stained osteological preparation; the description also variably stated that the pectoral muscles of 8460 (Hiaso 2002: 97) or 8469 (Hiaso 2002: 98) were dissected - the latter is in error. Description gave the collection data as Aimba River, 50m, 11 o 29'S 153 o 29'E, Tagula Island, Milne Bay Province, PNG (J. Hiaso, 6.iv.1992). Paratypes 8468, 8470 not found. Located specimens are in fair to reasonable condition.
