Xenobatrachus fuscigula Blum & Menzies 1988: 141 .

Holotype: UPNG 3342, Kaironk, Madang Province, PNG (R.N.H. Bulmer, 12.i.1972).

Paratypes: UPNG 3239-44, 3246, 5014-15, as for holotype, but collected R.N.H. Bulmer and J.I. Menzies; 5014-15, as for previous paratypes, but collected 12.x.1974; 3440-42, Mt Elimbari, ca 2100m, Simbu Province, PNG (J.I. Menzies, 5.v.1972) .

Remarks: Entire type series of 13 specimens in UPNG. Paratypes 3239-41, 3244, 3246, 5014-15 not found. Description gave the type locality as upper Kaironk Valley, 1300-2000m, and the altitude for 3440-42 as ca 2000m. Holotype and paratypes 3242-43 are in good condition.
