Paratypes: PNGM R23444-47 (formerly 17287-90, and field numbers 6349-52 respectively), Bogoro Inlet, Bootless Bay, Central Province, PNG (J.C. Pernetta, D. Black, 2.vi.1982) .

Remarks: Type series consists of 44 specimens; holotype in UPNG, other paratypes in AMS, CAS, UPNG. PNGM paratypes in very poor condition, badly damaged following evaporation of preservative on one or more occasions. Description gave the date for these specimens as 9.v.1981.
