Holotype: UPNG 7399, Eipomek, Papua Province, Indonesia (J.P. Blum, 1975).

Paratypes: UPNG 5681-82, data as for holotype.

Remarks: Type series consists of nine specimens; other paratypes in AMNH, MZB, ZSM. Holotype in good condition. UPNG paratypes not found; register notes that they were found rotten, and discarded 18.iii.1996. UPNG 7398 is also identified in the register as a paratype, but there is no mention of this specimen in the description. Description gave the data for the type series as Munggona, 1800m, Eipomek Valley, Jayawijaya Division, Papua Province, Indonesia (J.P. Blum, iv-vi.1976).
