Paratype: UPNG 1033, Efogi, Central Province, PNG (no collector or date).

Remarks: Type series consists of 87 specimens; holotype in AMS, other paratypes in AMS, BPBM, MCZ, IRSNB, RMNH. Based on the data provided in the type description of Hyla prora, this specimen was probably collected by J. Menzies on or about 12.xii.1968. Specimen in good condition, still at AMS awaiting return at end of 2006.
