Lathrolestes grahami sp. nov.

Diagnosis. This species differs from other known species in the tripunctor species-group by its black body (Fig. 8) and the absence of the costula of the propodeum. It is closely related to L. aitmatovi and L. hovdensis, differing from them in coloration and the elongate malar space (Figs 7).
Description. Body length 6 mm. Scape 0.6 times as long as wide. Head not narrowed behind eyes. Maximum length of temple 1.28X transverse eye diameter; minimum length of temple 0.86X transverse eye diameter. Face 1.25X height of eye; convex, with bulge, densely and deeply punctate. Clypeus separated from face by shallow impression (Fig. 7). Clypeal fovea not large. Malar space 0.72X basal mandible width. Lower mandible tooth longer than upper. Occipital carina not intercepting hypostomal carina.
Mesosoma matt, densely and deeply punctate. Notaulus very shallowly impressed basally. Epicnemial carina obviously raised, not reaching pronotum. Fore tibia with apical, distal tooth. Claws elongate, pectinate, hair-like teeth. Fore wing with areolet petiolate. Radius intercepting stigma at its middle. Second recurrent vein with single bulla. Nervellus intercepted at middle. Nervulus interstitial. Costula absent. Area superomedia elongate.
Metasoma slightly shining, densely and deeply punctate. First metasomal tergum 0.86X as long as apically wide; without median longitudinal impression; bordered by lateral longitudinal carinae; medial longitudinal carinae absent. Second metasomal tergum transverse. Parameres wide, as long as aedeagus.
Color. Body entirely black (Fig. 8).
Material. Holotype: male, China, Tibet border, Yu-Long-Gong (10 km S Kangding), 4260m., 14.viii.1930, D.C. Graham, (USNM).
